"Bokeh (derived from Japanese boke ぼけ, a noun form of bokeru ぼける, "become blurred or fuzzy") is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field. Different lens bokeh produces different aesthetic qualities in out-of-focus backgrounds, which are often used to reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject."

I've developed a passion for bokeh and have over time resourced a variety of lenses that handle it in unique ways. These are my brushes and nature often my pallette. Images here are thus ordered seasonally and accompanied with a note indicating which lens was used and any personal notes pertaining to the topic.

Kelly - your gallery here is unique for your profiling of lenses and the remarkable illustrations. I have come back to your images, to think through bokeh effects and equipment choices, more than I can tell. You have put together a remarkable and beautiful resource.

Your use of bokeh is unbelievable. I saw your flickr site, and thought that you are great at sharing info about lenses. I have bought my first Zeiss lens, and just love it.
