Spring III

Spring III

  • Lens: Topcon 1.4/58 Topcor
  • Plant: Hepatica x media 'Ballardii'

Among the first tiny bloomers of early spring in Calgary, Hepatica - as they are commonly referred to - seen here at Reader's rock garden.

Seen often throughout this gallery, the Voigtlander Nokton is based in fact on this lens, the Topcon Topcor. They do share an almost pillowy bokeh with a balance between smoothness and edge lit highlights. The Topcor's bokeh stands apart from it's newer relative with a hint of vintage swirl.
