Spring X

Spring X

  • Lens: Meyer 1.8/50 Oreston
  • Plant: Spirea japonica - Spirea Bush

These flaming red new leaves, coupled with last seasons old growth render this scene entirely autumn-like in appearance, but it is the early entrance of spring nonetheless.

Like its brothers and sisters in the Meyer family, the Oreston shows sharply lit highlights creating a very textured background. Also offering a class beating .33" minimum focus distance, the Oreston's seperation of in-focus plane from background can be made to seem even greater than it's pedestrian aperture would reveal.
