Shades of Spring I

Shades of Spring I

  • Lens: Voigtlander SLII 1.4/58 Nokton PK
  • Plant: Taraxacum - Dandelion

For a time, I had felt only a lens' superior magnification ratio allowed me to create the images of plants I wished to see - close-up with rich detail and strong seperation from it's background (ie macro). I was in the process of deciding to sell the Nokton in favor of the Zeiss Makro-Planar 50/2 (1:2), but testing the Nokton at its comparatively modest 1:5 ratio yielded a surprise - a characteristic, painterly bokeh which set my interest aflame.
